Food / Pet Pantry
One of the ways that we serve and care for the local community in New Bedford is to offer access to our food/pet pantry program. We welcome newcomers to this service, just as we would Christ himself, regardless of your way of life, gender, creed, sexual orientation, or life story.
Our Food/Pet Pantry is open to all on the Third (3rd) Saturday 10-11 am and on the Last Tuesday night 5-6 pm.
You can receive food ONCE per month.
Please enter by the County Street parking lot.
Food Pantry
Our food pantry at St. Martins serves approximately 150 people a month, providing bags of food to take with them to supply about 4-5 days of meals. We are affiliated with the Boston Food Bank but also depend on donations from our parishioners and local businesses.
We are very much into serving our local community. The food pantry program is just one of the ways that we reach out to people in our area to provide service and care.
Pet Pantry
We understand how important pets are to people, and when troubled times hit, our pets can suffer, too. Our pet pantry offers food and other essential supplies to our pantry guests, depending on their needs and availability of items.
- dog or cat food is typically available, depending on the number of participants
- pet care items can also sometimes be available
- donations of food and new/used pet items are accepted and appreciated
